Steven F. Silverstein has written the scores of thirteen musicals and three Christmas specials – all produced at Westchester Broadway Theater. He is the composer of the musical "The Human Heart," which received a grant from the Billy Rose foundation. He is also a well-respected vocal coach and one of his students, Becky O’Donohue, was in "American Idol" in 2006. Steven has had the pleasure of “tickling the ivories,” for celebrities like Debra Messing, Sean Hayes, Eric McCormack, Megan Mullally, Harry Connick, Jr., and Carole King. Broadway credits include "Blood Brothers" and "Swinging On a Star." Mr. Silverstein also appeared as an onstage piano player in the TV show "The Gossip Girls." He provided background music for the premiere of Martha Stewart’s radio show “At Martha’s Table.” He is on the faculty of American Music and Dramatic Academy in NYC as well as The Neighborhood Playhouse. Mr. Silverstein has an MA in Music Education from NYU and is a member of ASCAP.
