How do I place an order?
If you are a new customer and have already created an account, you must activate your account before you may place an order. Please check your e-mail and possibly junk e-mail folder for the link.
What’s my password to open my download?
This password is sent to you via e-mail and located in your account under downloadable products – click PDF password. This password is different from your Eldridge customer password for ordering.
How do I get a copy of the Tax form?

How can I get an invoice copy?
Invoice copies are e-mailed, included in your package, and available under the “my account” tab on our website. However, if you need an additional copy, please e-mail us at info@hiStage.com

Do you have a printed catalog?
Eldridge’s catalogs are sent to high schools, middle schools, theatres and individual customers twice a year, free of charge. If you wish to receive a copy by mail, just search "catalog" and place an order.
How do I know how long a show will run?
Shows vary in length and times are often included in the description. When not specified, here’s our rule of thumb:
Full - length plays - 1 ½ to 2 hours.
Musicals - 1 ½ to 2 hours.
One - act plays - 20 to 40 minutes.
Youth theatre plays - 45 minutes to 1 hour.
Another rough calculation is about a minute and a half per page. (1.5 min per page)
Can I read the entire script before deciding to order scripts and performance royalties?
Yes, we recommend you purchase a perusal script (a single copy) to read in its entirety. This script will have a watermark as these reading copies are for decision making only. No performance rights are included. All sales are final.
How many scripts should I order for my cast and crew?
The number of scripts necessary varies per title. A general rule is to order one script for each speaking role and additional scripts for members of your crew. Remember, all Eldridge plays and musicals are protected by federal copyright, and it is against the law to copy or reproduce them in any way.

What is a performance? Is a dress rehearsal a performance?
It is considered a performance if individual parts are assigned or memorized or if anyone outside the normal cast and crew is watching the actors. This includes dress rehearsals, competitions, fund-raisers, etc. It does not matter whether or not admission is charged.
To order online, enter the number of scripts you need, the number of performances you are planning and the performance beginning date. If you are unsure of the exact dates, please give us your best educated guess. We understand performance dates may change, and we can make adjustments as needed.
What is a royalty?
A royalty is payment to the playwright or composer for the performance of his work. A performance fee or royalty is due every time you perform any of our copyrighted plays or musicals, even if there is no charge for admission.
Royalty confirmation letters for competition, or any other question about royalties, should be e-mailed to info@histage.com.
Can you bill my school or theatre?
We extend 30-day charge privileges to schools and theatres when sent to the organization address. (E-mail us at info@histage.com to set this up.) Be sure to have a valid purchase order number if required by your organization. We also accept major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express). All orders are subject to credit approval. Note: orders that contain downloads or that are sent to home addresses require pre-payment.
How will my order be shipped?
We send materials via US mail. Please use your USPS shipping address.
All script orders are processed and shipped the next business day. For standard delivery allow 4-8 business days and for rush delivery 2-3 business days. Delivery times are estimated by the carriers and not guaranteed by us. Weather and equipment issues may delay service to some areas.
What does it mean to download a script?
It means quick, secure access and no shipping fees. Just use your credit card when placing an order online and simply select download delivery at checkout. You will be emailed a secure link to your script(s). Once an order has been placed there are directions for opening, printing and saving your script(s). You will need to have Adobe Reader 6 or higher installed to view your script(s).
I have not received my link to download.
Your secure link is sent to the email address on your account within moments of completing the order. If you do not receive it quickly, please check the "junk" folder in your email account. Some email providers may redirect the link there. You can add us to your "safe sender" list to avoid this on future orders.
If you cannot locate our confirmation and link to your order, please contact us immediately at info@hiStage.com so we may check your email address on file for errors. Don’t forget to include your order number or mailing address, for a faster response.
Can I choose download delivery for just part of my order?
Absolutely! For instance, you can order your scripts for download and receive scores, music files, advertising posters and T-shirts via traditional shipping methods. Shipping fees are automatically adjusted to reflect downloads. Please remember, if you wish any part of your order to be downloaded, the entire order must be charged to a credit card, including royalties. If you wish part of your order to be billed, please place a separate order.
What is your return and exchange policy?
As a publisher of intellectual property, we cannot accept returns or exchanges. All orders are final. Please make all selections carefully and take advantage of Freeviews and reading scripts. Do you offer posters and flyers?
Full-color, personalized posters and flyers are a must-have for your advertising team. The art appears at the right of each play description. The order form will guide you in entering all the performance information you want printed. All posters and flyers are made to order, so please allow a week for delivery.
Do you offer T-shirts to promote my play?
Personalized T-shirts are another great way to advertise your show and a thoughtful way to thank your volunteers too. Like posters, they're easy to order from the website under individual play descriptions.
Can I copy your scripts, scores, music files or artwork?
Remember, all Eldridge plays and musicals are protected by federal copyright, and it is against the law to copy or reproduce them in any way.

Can I just purchase just royalties? We already have scripts.
Yes, if you need to add production dates, please e-mail us.
No, if you will need scripts and royalties if you want to revisit a previously produced show and have a new cast and crew. Our scripts are single use and cannot be used from year to year.
Can I order just scripts?
Yes, you can order additional scripts without additional royalties if you have already ordered and need a few more. You may not just order scripts without any royalties on record. Our website will limit this but a quick email or phone call to us will resolve it.
May I modify the play?
If you find you need to make minor alterations in the script to meet your community standards, casting or staging limitations, or to meet contest rules, just contact us.
We would ask that you submit any requests (be as detailed as possible) via e-mail. Some directors do this by sending a scan, uploading a photo, or simply writing an email. We will review your request and get feedback from the playwright if necessary.
Changes are often allowable but must be approved by our editors. For a prompt response, e-mail them directly at editorial@histage.com.
Can we videotape our performance?
You may videotape a production for complimentary keepsakes or archival purposes. If you plan to sell the videos, a reasonable royalty is due. Please contact us at info@hiStage.com for specifics.

If you wish to use any of our materials in radio, television, cable or video broadcasts, please contact us at editorial@hiStage.com for licensing information and reasonable royalty rates.
Do you sell to international customers?
Although we do not ship outside the US and Canada, we welcome orders from around the world. International customers can place orders online and download materials.
How can I submit my production photos?
