Juanice Myers has a degree in theatre from Texas Tech University in Lubbock where she also resides. She has written ten plays, three of which have won national playwriting contests. She received a $2,000 Fellowship in Playwriting from the Nebraska Arts Council and a certificate for Excellence in Playwriting from the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. A founder and director of two Readers Theatre Companies, one in Texas and one in Nebraska, she gives workshops on playwriting and readers theatre. She and her husband have two grown children and a granddaughter. Her other passion, besides writing, is cross stitching. Janice also admits to being owned by two cats.
