Our theatre program has a lot of interest, and in looking for a modern comedy this play stood out with over 20 named roles. It takes a mature group to buy in to all aspects, including the humor and the romantic situations. We had that and with some creative staging on our detailed set, we put together an amazing show that audiences were surprised they loved, with some claiming it was their favorite non-musical to date! We focused on a stylistic mix between a sitcom and a Hallmark movie, marketing as such with success. You have to have some solid guys to carry this show, and there is plenty of flexibility in adding ensemble. We ended up incorporating 30 into the cast with extras!
