One Wife Too Many
"Our high school audience loved the show! This was the first time I have seen 425 students sit and watch a show so quietly - until they belly-laughed.
This show was fun to direct and watch. Because the costumes are current day, costuming the show did not cost a fortune; however, staging the doors to the apartments did pose a challenge. We went with freestanding doors that worked out perfectly and looked beautiful on stage." -- Dothan (AL) High Drama Club

Audience Favorite
In a small town, the best way to get people out and about is to put on a show with high comedy and a plot that keeps you on the move. This was an absolute favorite and many were talking about it for weeks. Well written and has a good balance of humor and sentimental moments. Recommend for any high school or community theater.

FUN Play!!
This show was very well-received by the cast, audience and school we produced it in.  Initially, I picked this show and students were not overly excited about it until we got to work.  By the end, the students developed close bonds with one another and had a BLAST putting it on!  Audience members said it was one of the funniest shows they've seen, and I did not receive any backlash from people in attendance (and I am in a semi-conservative community).

Some tips I have for putting on the show is...
Hire and intimacy coordinator for all of the close moments characters have together.  There are a LOT of kisses in the show, but we were able to have the same intensity without kissing every single time because we had a fabulous coordinator who was understanding and wanted to make sure all students felt comfortable with the actions they're doing.
With our current climate, straying away from the use of real looking guns.  We were going to use water guns, but ended up settling on bubble guns.  The audience had a good laugh, and it was well-received.  Especially since the cast were treating them like they were real.
Start working on the set ASAP.  There are 6 doors, and two sets of terrace doors.  We used every door at our disposal and some worked better than others... however, the door randomly opening added to the campiness and surprisingly did not negatively affect the show.
Promote the show as best as you can.  Consider making small promo videos (that are in line with the author's wishes) to get the word out - we were planning on 260 patrons (based on numbers from past shows), but ended up with over 500 in attendance.
