Fun play about friendship, owning up to mistakes, and forgiveness
This play is so much fun. My students had a blast performing it. I think the message is something we can relate to of all ages. I had a cast of exactly 12 and it ended up working out perfectly. The parts are flexible to gender, for example, my River was a girl and my Mrs. Ari was Mr. Ari. Set can be minimal or elaborate. I used UIL pieces and art work from art students at my school. It was very minimal, but with lighting and sound design it really worked out well. A plus if your students LOVE Greek Mythology. When I first read the play I immediately was reminded of Percy Jackson and also Night at the Museum. My students found so much to relate to with the characters most of them being freshmen and sophomores in high school. Perfect for both high school and middle school.

Great Ensemble Piece!
This play worked great for my 8th graders!! The fact that it is super gender flexible made casting a breeze! The ensemble nature of the Greek Chorus was great for helping my kids learning to move as a group. Super fun story that added for creativity in sound and lights. I would highly recommend this play!
