Our small cast had a blast with this play, exchanging some female parts for male actors. The two main characters had quite a challenge with lots of lines, but the rest of the cast was totally easy to play.

We needed a show with minimal set building and costumes, due to a non-existent budget, and this show worked great!  The kids mostly wore their own clothes, our set was pretty easily slapped together, and the audience ate up the one-liners!

This show can be pulled off with 4 strong actors, as the rest of the characters don't have a ton of lines.  That worked in our favor with quite a few students that were new to the stage.  If you're looking for a funny one-act show, even with a small or inexperienced cast, "Avoiding the Pitfalls of High School Dating" is a great option!
